Brian has been diving for 39 years and professionally for 26 years and has a wealth of experience to draw upon. He is naturally a relaxed and patient individual who loves the island for its "no hassle" atmosphere. He believes that all his students can become safe and responsible divers whilst enjoying their holiday without stress or tension. He oversees all training personally and will support all students, however they learn best until they are confident, successful divers.

DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
Price: €139 (inclusive of equipment hire, PADI fees and materials)
Discover Scuba Diving is a one day course that offers a taster of what a certification course would be like. After a briefing on the scuba equipment and underwater communications you will have a chance to breath from scuba using the correct techniques, swimming with full equipment and getting used to a whole new feeling. When you are ready it is into the sea for a shallow dive to really experience the joys of a whole new world.
This course can be credited toward the Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver Certification.
SCUBA DIVER
Price: €390 (inclusive of equipment hire, PADI fees and materials)
Thinking of getting certified, but not able to find the time to put into a regular diver course? This is a quick and easy program designed especially for you!
This is an entry level certification that is perfect for those on holiday or for people who only plan to dive infrequently. With the PADI Scuba Diver certification you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Instructor or higher professional on your next holiday or dive trip.
Virtually anyone who 10years old, is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a Scuba Diver certification.
You will learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing pool dives, knowledge development sessions and by making two open water dives. You can always upgrade this certificate to an Open Water Certificate in the future.
OPEN WATER DIVER

The PADI Open Water Diver is the most popular diver program in the world- and your ticket to a lifetime of diving adventure. To enrol in the PADI Open Diver course you must be 10 years or older.
Over a 3 or 4 day period, you will learn about scuba fundamentals, equipment and techniques. You will practice diving skills and experience open water dives with an instructor. After completing the program successfully you will have earned a certification that is recognized in more countries than any other and allows you to rent or buy equipment or expand your diving skills with the PADI Advanced or Specialty Diver programs.
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
- Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
- Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!
If you’ve tried diving through a Discover Scuba Diving experience or resort course, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.
During the course, you’ll make at least four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

Unfortunately many of us are unable to dive as regularly as we would like so Scuba Tune Up refreshes your scuba skills. The course covers all of the skills to necessary to refresh your memory. The program consists of recapping on dive theory, assembly and dis-assembly of the scuba unit, a revision of the Open Water Diver course skills in the pool, to include mask clearing, buoyancy skills and problem solving skills. The simple objective is to get you comfortable again using scuba. You will then be prepared to comfortably and safely return to the water.
ADVENTURE DIVER

The PADI Adventure Diver course helps you get more out of diving by introducing you to three new types of scuba diving adventures. It’s a great opportunity to work with your instructor to build your scuba diving skills and gain more confidence.
Have you always wanted to try digital underwater photography? How about underwater navigation? Here’s your chance because you can sample three dives of your choice, get a taste of what you like, and feel more at ease in the water, strengthening your underwater skills and letting you enjoy scuba diving more than ever.
Get credit! Each Adventure Dive may be credited toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty course. This means you can be well on your path to becoming a Master Scuba Diver.

ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

Whether you are just qualified or have hundreds of dives, this program gives you the confidence, skills and experience to take your diving to new levels of excitement!
To take this course, you must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) and 12 years old. It is designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course. The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
The course consists of 5 different specialty-dives of which you can choose 3. The other 2 are Underwater Navigation and a Deep-Dive (typically anywhere from 18-30 meters/ 60-100 feet).
After this course, you are qualified as an Advanced Open Water Diver and are allowed to make deeper dives AND each Adventure Dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course.
What You Learn

Want to be ready in an emergency? Then this program is for you! The PADI Emergency First Response program covers basic training for CPR and emergency care. In addition, it’s a medically based program covering primary care, secondary care and treatments following national consensus guidelines.
The program is designed for divers and non-divers, and also meets the CPR and first aid prerequisites for earning your PADI Rescue Diver rating.
Emergency First Response gives you the confidence to respond to medical emergencies — not just in the diving world, but in your everyday world with your family, friends, neighbours and co-workers too.
Emergency First Response courses encompass:

RESCUE DIVER
Price: €480 (inclusive of PADI fees and materials)
This program develops your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and administer first aid.
The program is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent) certification is also a prerequisite for all PADI leadership programs. You will need to have successfully completed the PADI Emergency First Response course or equivalent within the past 24 months.
“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken.

To enrol in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must be 12 years or older, have a PADI Adventure Diver certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organization and must have the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive), and be trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years.
After completing CPR and First Aid and the PADI Rescue Diver course, you should take the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course. Together, these three courses round out your ability to handle scuba diver emergencies.
SPECIALTY DIVES
Boat Diver
Price: €270 (inclusive 2 dives, PADI fees and materials)
Whether you’ve never made a boat dive or you’ve logged dozens of dives, the PADI Boat Diver Specialty course can benefit almost every diver because different boats in different parts of the world do things differently. The PADI Boat Diver Specialty course familiarizes you with the various ways you stow gear, enter and exit the water, use surface lines and more, depending upon the type boat and the location. You must be a PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization). The course:
- Covers techniques for diving from boats ranging from small inflatables to giant live-aboards
- Discusses how dive boats differ from place to place
- Gives you focused experience and training for diving from boats in your local area
- Covers basic boat safety equipment and use
- Certification counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
Deep Diver
Price: €440 (inclusive 4 dives, PADI fees and materials)
In this course you will experience what it’s like to dive beyond 18 metres / 60 feet. Down there, it’s different. It takes additional training. Here’s where you get it. You must be a PADI Adventure Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization) and 15 years old. You will:
- Experience diving beyond 18 metres/60 feet
- Gain experience with diving deep under the direct, professional supervision of a PADI Instructor
- Learn deep dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and hazards
- Certification counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
- Four open water dives that range from 18 – 40 metres / 60 – 130 feet.
Fish ID
Price: €210 (inclusive 2 dives, PADI fees and materials)
The PADI Project AWARE Fish Identification Specialty course provides you with the fish identification basics so that next time, you know the answer. During two dives you gain hands-on experience in looking for and identifying the fascinating fish you see underwater. You must be a PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization). The course:
- Covers Project AWARE and aquatic protection worldwide
- Characteristics of local fish families and species will be explained
- Fish survey techniques and strategies
- Fish identification dive planning, organization and procedures will be practiced
Navigation Diver
Price: €355 (inclusive 3 dives, PADI fees and materials)
Be the diver everyone wants to follow and make your sense of direction legendary with the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course. When everyone’s buzzing about a reef or checking out a wreck, they’re having a great time – until it’s time to go. Then they turn to you, because as a PADI Underwater Navigator, you know the way back to the boat. Underwater navigation can be challenging, but in the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course, you master the challenge. You learn the tools of the trade, including navigation via natural clues and by compass. You learn to estimate distance underwater, follow navigation patterns and know where you are while following an arbitrary, irregular course using the Nav-Finder. You must be a PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization). The course covers:

Night Diver

Although you’ve seen this reef many times before, this time you drop into a whole new world and watch it come to life under the glow of your dive light. The adventure, thrill and excitement of night diving can be yours when you complete your PADI Night Diver Specialty course. You learn about night dive planning, equipment and navigation. You practice these on three night dives, plus introduce yourself to the whole new cast of critters that comes out after the sun goes down. Peak Performance Bouyancy

With the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty course under your belt, you see the aquatic world differently. You don’t see “fish,” but individual species with distinct strategies for surviving in a complex, interactive ecosystem. Discover Snorkelling

Learn to snorkel and skin dive!
This course helps you explore the underwater world from the surface, without the need to use scuba equipment. It provides basic information on skin diving equipment, dive science, the environment, problem management and safe skin diving practices.
You learn various techniques for donning and adjusting equipment, entering the water, checking buoyancy, surface swimming, clearing water from your snorkel and performing effortless surface dives.
